Don’t Believe In Ghosts kick off their next chapter with “Driver,” a radiant 3-minute, 5-second burst of indie pop energy that feels like the first day of summer bottled into song. Anchored by a danceable groove, shimmering synths, and a gloriously funky guitar solo, “Driver” is an anthem for living in the moment — bright, bold, and unapologetically alive. Formed in 2017 by singer, producer, and songwriter Steven Nathan, Don’t Believe In Ghosts has evolved from a home studio project into a full-fledged NYC indie powerhouse — rounded out by guitarist Dan DelVecchio, bassist Alex Goumas, and drummer Ken Yang. Their story is one of resilience: poised for a breakout in 2020 with sold-out Bowery Ballroom shows and a national tour, they were halted by the pandemic — and personally devastated by the loss of Nathan’s brother to COVID-19. Yet they pressed on, signing with Imagen Records and releasing their acclaimed debut Solutions in 2021. With placements on Apple TV+’s WeCrashed, features on shows like Ink Master and the U.S. Open, and collaborations with Grammy-winning mixer Ken Lewis and late comedy legend Gilbert Gottfried, the band’s momentum is undeniable. “Driver” isn’t just a new single — it’s a declaration: ghosts of the past won’t steer this ride. The future’s wide open, and they’re flooring it.
